We rely on seasonal work-traders & drop-in volunteers to help with labor from May-Oct. Lend a hand, learn about growing veggies in our cold climate & go home with fresh produce.
We're so grateful for the community of workers & friends coming together around our market garden!
Work-trade:
Commit to a regular 3-hour shift and go home with a weekly CSA style veg box ($45 value). Shifts include seed starting, tomato trellising, harvest, wash/pack, general garden maintenance & market help. Learn more HERE!

Drop-in Volunteering:
For 2026, we're bringing back Thirsty Thistle Thursdays drop-in volunteer hours. Third Thursday of the month 2-6pm, June-August. Stop by, see the garden, work for an hour or more & go home with a veggie trade. Save the dates: June 18th, July 16th & Aug 20th. We may add more dates as the season progresses.
Tasks are varied and include weeding, bulk harvests, bed prep, etc. Due to the small nature of our operation, we cap the number of participants. Please be in touch by noon the day of to secure your spot and let us know you're coming. Sign up for our newsletter HERE to stay in the loop.
